What is leadership coaching?
Leadership coaching is a process that is delivered in a one-on-one setting with the leader. The coach helps the leader to understand personal style and behaviours, to establish professional goals and objectives as well as development plans for success. At Momenta Consultation, we use validated psychometric tools to help guide us in order to enhance the leader’s performance and development.
What is organizational psychology?
In the modern world, success of organizations is often driven by their employees, teams, and leadership. Understanding how human behaviours affect the workplace to increase workplace productivity is the main objective of organizational psychology. Organizational psychology, also known as industrial and organization (I/O) psychology, is the scientific study of human behaviour in the workplace. Common themes in this field are interpersonal relationships at work, the role of individual differences as they influence organizations, group and team dynamics, leadership, organizational development and change.
What is psychometrics?
What psychometric tools do you use?
Several. (Level B as per British Psychological Society, and level C with Psychometrics Canada and Multi-Health System). Very few coaches have these qualifications.
Can I just pay to get my psychometric report and not have the debrief session?
No, not with us. In line with the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Code of Conduct and Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychology (SIOP) Testing Standards, we do not provide an assessment without a debrief session.

Are there any free tools I could use, and figure it out on my own?
Yes, probably. At Momenta Consultation, we only use official and validated psychometric tools via Psychometrics Canada and Multi-Health System. We also take copyrights very seriously.
What is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment?
Helping an individual understand their personality type is the first step to personal and professional growth. The MBTI tool, with its Jungian foundation, is based on the premise that we all have unique gifts to offer and challenges to overcome. The MBTI® assessment helps individuals understand their strengths, their preferred working styles, and ultimately helps them see their potential. Used individually to provide self-awareness and clarity of purpose, the MBTI assessment also helps create a better understanding and appreciation between team members and colleagues – enabling them to work better together.

We are subject-matter experts on how people behave and think in the workplace. Accordingly, our objective is to predict workplace behaviours.

What is a consultation?
In a consultation, we work with the leader to analyze their current situation, establish a game plan for change, and facilitate the process of discovery and implementation.
What is the difference between consultation and coaching?
While we use evidence-based approaches during a consultation, we would not use psychometric tools.
What is a 360 feedback?
If used properly and in the right conditions, it is probably the most valuable tool a leader can invest in. Our clients tell us that is it very transformative.
